The industry standard easily, and now pretty much cheap enough for a pair now second hand, i remember when 1 deck was £450 ! Still worth every penny thought but glad theyre cheaper now ! i was happy i got my set of silver 1200's ive never had a problem and theyve always been my favourite deck, ive played on Stantons and Vestax before and i still know i preffer these decks !! Absolutely brilliant - anyone reading this and not sure what decks to get, get the Technics !!!

What can i say that hasnt already been said about Technics?!! I always wondered if these decks would live up to the hype, but after having had them for 18 months, I tell you now they definately do!!

Go for the trusted MK2's if you are on a lower budget but to be honest all the versions are value for money. they are solid, reliable and never miss a beat. you can see why they were the club standard for decades. they take most carts and come with good lids to protect them from dust and damage.

You can pick up a pair now for as little as £500 which is a steal. OK so they dont have all the digital features and wizzardry of some turntables, but buy a cd deck if you want those features. if you want reliable old skool performance to spin your vinyl, technics are where its at. nuff said!!!! :) mj
