Pioneer CDJ-2000 DJ CD Deck / Multi-Player
Site Review: In a way, it’s now unfair to class the all new Pioneer CDJ’s as just ‘cd decks’. 15 years after the first CDJ, a major jump forward in evolution has occurred, and was needed, to bring Pioneer back to the front of a DJ market that has become increasingly laptop-based over the last few years.
The Pioneer CDJ-2000 then clearly replaces the universe-beating CDJ-1000Mk3 as their new flagship model for 2011 and beyond, and becomes much more than a CD deck with support for the excellent free RekordBox software (reviewed separately); not to mention multi-playing capabilities from not only CD’s, but DVD, SD cards & USB sticks.
Other key developments include sharing of music source (USB / SD) on upto 4 players via a LAN network link, saving of play history, 6.1 inch full colour screen with waveform graphics & MIDI capabilities for working with the likes of Rane’s Serato Scratch Live and other DVS (digital vinyl systems).Do you own one of these?
