Pioneer CDJ-100s DJ CD Deck

Site Review: The baby of the CDJ range, this 100s is also one of the oldest. It followed only the CDJ-500 in the timeline of development, but made a huge impact on the market all the same. It's the cheapest of the 4 models still on sale today, and a perfect entry-level CDJ to get your bedroom DJ hands on. Most importantly the cue / play / pause functions are the same as on the bigger models, meaning a skill migration to one of them takes a matter of minutes, and you can comfortably work the larger model if playing in a club where one is installed.

An otherwise excellant deck spoiled by an overly sensitive jog wheel. You can get used to it, but its less intuitive to use than the more high end Pioneers or the Numark Axis series.

My first CDJ and an excellent way to learn the differences between CD and vinyl mixing. Definately the first steps I took towards playing out using CD's on the bigger versions. A great investment for the budget-stricken student or bedroom DJ.
