Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your amusing review on the Pioneer CDJ-1000 Mk3 - they certainly are the be all and end all of CD decks. Obviously though the CDJ-2000, which isn't on this site yet, is the next generation, next-level performance tool. Interesting to know about the spares prices too.

Thanks.

Seriously durable CD decks! Ive seen them fall off tables & not skip - even seen a can of drink being poured straight into the CD slot - it just poured out again when tipped up and even the CD was dry!

Love the look and feel of them, easy to use too - my only gripes are the lack of Pitch Bend buttons (personal preference) & the ridiculous price of spares.. £1 for each screw + £20 for the Jog Adjust knob? what a joke!

Cant get any better in my opinion, yet!
However, CDJ-1000 tends to crash out randomly after heavy use. Im not sure whether its because of the use of a certain brand of CDR or it be a CD burn defect.
Other than that this is the best CD deck ive owned and used for sampling and tricks. Throrughly recomended
