Ok so, first up, Hercules aren’t a company purely focused on DJ equipment like the rest of the manufacturers on here – they also produce speakers, soundcards, webcams, WiFi & iPod accessories. Part of the Guillemot Corporation, a manufacturer of “interactive entertainment hardware”, the parent company is also responsible for Thrustmaster PC and console accessories – we’re only mentioning that as it brings back fond memories of mid-90’s joysticks playing Sensible Soccer on an Atari!

About Hercules
Right down to business - the Hercules DJ equipment range isn’t a large one, but the products do tend to be focused on the digital DJ market with mixing consoles and mobile DJ’ing units the main thrust, excuse the pun! Driven by the explosion of MP3 music, cheaper laptops and high-speed internet, the first DJ equipment unit rolling off the Hercules production line was the DJ Console MK2 – which went on to sell loads, helped along by the two versions – one to integrate with VirtualDJ, and one with Traktor (back in its 3rd edition).
The Hercules Mobile DJ MP3 was next up – a unique take on and rather cool looking wireless DJ controller, no doubt taking technology from other areas of the business.
